Day Care Centre

Strengthening Foundational Learning for Young Children

Our Day Care Learning Centre is a community-based initiative that works with young children from the Banjara Community to improve their Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) skills in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment.

The programme focuses on helping children build essential early learning abilities such as reading, writing, language development, and basic mathematics through child-friendly and activity-based learning methods.

Our Approach

We believe that every child learns differently and deserves the opportunity to learn at their own pace. The centre provides a nurturing space where children can strengthen their foundational skills through interactive sessions, guided activities, and personalized attention.

The learning activities include:

  • Basic reading and writing

  • Foundational mathematics

  • Language and communication skills

  • Play-based and activity-based learning

  • Creative and group activities

  • Social and emotional development

Our educators and volunteers work closely with children to make learning enjoyable, accessible, and confidence-building.

Why FLN Matters

Foundational Literacy and Numeracy are the building blocks of a child’s education. Strong FLN skills help children become confident learners and improve their ability to participate meaningfully in school and everyday life.

Through this programme, we aim to create a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and continuous growth among young children in the community.
