Angoori
A Journey from Household Chores
to School Books
Angoori, a 10-year-old girl from Jhalamand, Jodhpur, was raised in extreme poverty. Her parents, both stone workers, relied on her to care for her younger sibling instead of attending school. By the age of eight, she had already missed crucial years of foundational learning.
The foundation reached out to Angoori’s parents, explaining the significance of education and how it could provide their children with a better future. After multiple discussions and trust-building efforts, her parents agreed to enroll her in formal education, supported by KnowPro’s non-formal education program.
Today, Angoori is a dedicated student in Class 6. She enjoys learning and rarely misses a day of school. Thanks to KnowPro’s ongoing support, she is making up for lost time and building a strong foundation for her future.
