KnowPro Foundation was established in February 2022 to create sustainable opportunities for marginalized children, women, and communities through education, skills, and community development.
Recognising education as a catalyst for long-term social and economic transformation, the Foundation works to improve learning outcomes, strengthen women's economic participation, and build resilient rural communities through awareness, capacity building, and strategic partnerships.
Driven by the belief that sustainable change begins at the community level, KnowPro Foundation designs and implements scalable programmes that enhance access to education, strengthen livelihoods, and enable individuals and families to realise their full potential while contributing to inclusive and equitable development.

Committed to supporting the most backward, socio-economically excluded, and marginalized children and communities, the organization focuses on ensuring access to education for children, empowering women through education and skill-building, and enhancing the capacity of rural communities through sensitization and a rights-based approach. By facilitating overall development and promoting a healthy lifestyle, Knowpro Foundation strives to enable individuals to realize their innate potential and build a more inclusive society.
WHO ARE THE BANJARAS?
Banjaras are a nomadic tribe primarily found in Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, and Himachal Pradesh. They are engaged in cattle rearing, daily wage labour, and construction work. They live in makeshift tents without permanent settlements, and their occupations and living conditions often keep them illiterate. Due to their nomadic lifestyle, local communities view them with mistrust, leading to social tensions when they settle on common land. This insecurity prevents them from sending their children to school.
